The front of this Austin TX
home faces due West, therefore we used the 90%
fabric on the front windows of this home.
Please see on our website where we discuss when
to use the
90% Solar Screen Fabric and when to use the
80% solar screen fabric. This home has a tan
trim exterior with white Austin limestone mixed
with reddish and brown bricks. We used our
Chocolate solar screen fabric as the perfect
complimentary color.
1) We favor the use of a
solar screen over dormer windows. For one,
it looks much better than if it was left off,
and for another, it is extremely important that
you provide this shade for the attic. We
all know how important it is to keep the attic
as cool as possible, and leaving this dormer
window un-shaded would allow a huge amount of
heat gain into the attic. Now with it
shaded, this customer has lessoned the heat gain
into the attic, plus the consistent look of
solar screens on all the front windows looks
much better.
2) These windows
required die cast clip mounting, to better
understand how we install our solar screens,
please see our page titled
Videos of How We Install.
3) The front of this
home looks really good, part of what looks so
good is that it has a consistent look.
Sometimes people ask about leaving off the
screen above the front door, so imagine how this
home would look if it did not have a screen
above the front door. |
